Treatment Foster Care

Treatment Foster CareTreatment Foster Care is a program for children, youth and their families whose special needs can be met in a family setting. Services are primarily delivered by treatment foster parents who are trained, supervised and supported by Agency staff. Treatment foster parents implement the in-home portion of the child's treatment plan, and provide unconditional care for the foster children.

Specialized Treatment Foster Care homes are available to treat Juvenile Sexual Offenders. These homes have intensely trained foster parents in the behavior associated with sexual offenders. The child will attend group and individual therapy sessions with the Forensic Services Director on a weekly basis.

Children are considered for treatment foster care based on their presenting level of difficulty and may be transitioned to the program from a more intensive placment, or enter the program directly upon admission.  Foster Children may attend public school or one of Beacon Light's privately licensed alternative education sites.
